Amateur Radio

Being an IT professional for most of my life, I see computers and technology as much of a hobby as it is a profession. One of my early passions was radio and I finally got my Technician license in 2017 and upgraded to General in 2019. My callsign is KM6KPW and I am good on QRZ.

I was elected to be the president of the Riverside County Amateur Radio Association in 2020 and again for 2021. This is a great club in the middle of the Inland Empire with a wide age range of members. Fostering new hams to build their skills is very important to us.

Digital Modes – Adding A computer to ham radio was a natural move for me. I work FT8, APRS and Winlink.

EchoLink – I operate an Echolink node that provides communications to the W6TJ repeater operated by the Riverside County Amateur Radio Association. Look for the node named W6TJ-R to reach the repeater.
